There are a number of transport plans affecting Edinburgh that we are active on. Below are details on some of the main ones. However, there are also other transport issues that our transport campaign group works on. If you have an interest in transport in Edinburgh, why not get involved in our transport campaign group. To find out how, get in touch by clicking on the “Contact Us” tab above.

In December 2004, Transport Initiatives Edinburgh ran a public consultation to ask people what they thought about the planned Edinburgh Airport Rail Link. We have serious concerns about the curren proposal because of its complexity and expense. Read our response (above) for the details. FoEE Submission to the Tram (Line One) Bill Committee (76 KB, PDF)
FoEE Submission to the Tram (Line Two) Bill Committee (76 KB, PDF) In October 2004, the Parliamentary committees considering the Edinburgh tram line bills asked us to submit evidence for their consideration. We responded to both the Tram (Line One) Bill Committee and the Tram (Line Two) Bill Committee. The bills being considered by these committees, if passed, will form the basis for building and running Edinburgh’s first two proposed tram lines. We hope that the Private Bills Committees will take our concerns into consideration. Read our Response to the Tram (Line Three) Consultation
To read our response, click on the following link. In May 2004, Transport Initiatives Edinburgh ran a public consultation to ask people what they thought about the planned Tram Line 3. The results from this consultation will help to shape the City of Edinburgh Council’s plans for the proposed third tram line in Edinburgh. We hope that the Council will seriously consider the views expressed in this response. Note: To read our reponses, you will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader or other software that can read PDFs.
